As Executive Director of Cuningham’s K-12 Education market, Kari-elin leads design teams on a wide range of projects, from early childhood centers to career and technical education environments. She thrives on working with schools and communities to plan the future of their buildings and sites, ensuring designs that support evolving educational models and long-term community goals.
Kari-elin has practiced architecture in Colorado since 1998, focusing her career on the design of educational facilities for learners of all ages. A passionate advocate for sustainable design, Kari-elin shares her expertise through volunteer service with USGBC Colorado and as a member of the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) Global Board, representing the Southwest Region of the United States. She is especially skilled at facilitating large community groups, guiding conversations that lead to innovative, adaptable, and inspiring places for students and educators.
