Wedge Community Co-op

Wedge Community Co-op is a grocery store, café, catering company, wholesale distributor and sustainable food leader that has been a fixture in Minneapolis since 1974. Its flagship location on the highly-trafficked Lyndale Avenue needed an extensive remodel to align the store with its updated branding. Our design team started the remodel by adding more indoor seating, as well as more space for produce and made-to-order foods along the perimeter of the store. A new bakehouse, expanded produce and bulk sections, and new juice and coffee bars all add to the upgraded amenities. A neutral color palette and oversized punctuating graphics help refresh the atmosphere for community members. On the exterior, a cantilevered canopy rejuvenates the main entry, while a second entrance at the south end caters to bikers and walkers who want to avoid the busy parking lot entrance.
