Janet Whaley

Janet advances Cuningham’s interiors practice with a focus on collaboration, integration, and design excellence. Since joining the firm in 2007, she has shaped hospitality environments ranging from large-scale resorts and entertainment venues to boutique destinations. Janet strengthens the role of interior design across the firm by guiding coordination among project teams, leadership, and marketing, ensuring interiors play a central role in delivering complete, cohesive experiences. 

Janet approaches each project with a collaborative mindset, working closely with clients to create environments that balance innovation with functionality, social impact, and environmental responsibility. Beyond her work at Cuningham, Janet shares her expertise as an adjunct professor in the University of Minnesota’s Interior Design program, advancing the profession and inspiring the next generation of designers.
