FutureForward at Washington Square
The new FutureForward at Washington Square offers both current and new CTE programs. These programs include diesel mechanics, construction trades, welding, emergency medical technician (EMT) training, criminal justice, forensic science, and fire science. The facility also includes a large central circulation / student commons area that can support flexible learning opportunities as well as larger school functions and partner events. There are multiple locations where the building systems and structure open for view, presenting students with various unique education opportunities. The building is intended to be one of the most energy efficient facilities in the district with a full geo thermal HVAC system, daylighting supported with all LED lighting, and a high performance building envelope. Not only is FutureForward at Washington Square designed for immediate use, it also has an eye toward the future.
