Kitty Yuen Named Director of Cuningham’s Denver Office

Cuningham is pleased to announce the appointment of Kitty Yuen, AIA, NCARB, NCIDQ, CDT, LEED AP as Office Director for the firm’s Denver location. Yuen’s appointment is a reflection of Cuningham’s commitment to deepen its understanding of the firm’s complex communities and deliver even greater value to its partners through place-based knowledge.
A licensed architect and certified interior designer with strong ties to the Colorado design community, Yuen has more than 30 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams across corporate, civic, higher education, and commercial markets. Her appointment to Office Director reflects her nuanced understanding of Colorado’s unique geographical region and local markets, along with her proven ability to cultivate meaningful partnerships within her community.

As Office Director, Yuen will guide the strategy, operations, and performance of Cuningham’s Denver office, with the goal of strengthening local business development and deepening community ties. She will also work closely with the firm’s other Office Directors and Market Sector Leaders to translate local knowledge into broader firmwide value—bridging place-based insight with deep technical and market sector expertise.

Prior to joining Cuningham, Yuen held senior leadership roles at RATIO Design and Eppstein Uhen Architects, where she guided offices through growth, transitions, and cultural integration. A recognized voice in both the Colorado and national design communities, Yuen is a member of AIA’s Interior Architecture Knowledge Community, previously serving as the group’s Chair. She has also served as AIA Denver Chapter President and held numerous leadership roles with AIA Colorado.
