Alpensia Resort

Situated between two beautiful valleys in the Gangwon-do province of South Korea, Alpensia served as the 2018 Winter Olympic Village. Located just 112 miles from Seoul, the resort is centered around a charming, Alps-inspired village nestled in the heart of the larger of the two valleys. The village features shops, restaurants, entertainment, and activity venues, as well as many of the resort’s accommodations.

At the heart of the vibrant village is a pedestrian promenade. With a grand piazza and magnificent, five-star hotel and wellness center at one end of the promenade, and a second piazza, family hotel, waterpark and conference center at the other, this pedestrian zone is frequented and enjoyed by resort guests. Adjacent to the promenade is a factory outlet shopping street, one of the first of its kind in South Korea.
