Sharp Coronado Hospital, Payne Outpatient Pavilion Remodel
From the patient’s arrival at the new drop-off through the enhanced landscaped arbor courtyard, the remodel is focused on the patient experience. An enhanced lobby space draws natural daylight into the lobby and waiting area. The entry is given direct visibility of the check-in stations and the procedural waiting area has access to outdoor gardens. Unrestricted flow in a facility like this is critical. Therefore, the new space focuses on ease of experience for the patient and efficiency for the staff. Providing for maximum flexibility, we have designed eight standardized patient rooms allowing prep and recovery to fluctuate during the day. Also included are two operating rooms that are adjacent to the sub-sterile room.
