Minneapolis College of Art and Design 2540 Exterior
This aging, 1970s-era building on the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) campus needed a refresh to realign its aesthetic with the school’s surrounding structures. The exterior cladding and roofing was replaced, roof parapets were extended, exterior insulation was added, windows were replaced, and air conditioning units were updated. To reinforce MCAD’s campus identity, the exterior redesign incorporates material and light characteristics of the landmark Tange building, located adjacent to the 2540 building — better aligning it with the campus’s historic structures.
